Happy Easter from Kowhai Kids!

Today we had an awesome day creating the perfect Easter outfit.

 First we had to read and follow the instructions on the board to create our ears. This involved a lot of drawing, cutting and sticking of pom poms. Our fingers were very gooey!

Next we had to create our whiskers. This was a wee bit easier, unless we got our fingers stuck to our noses!

It took us a long time and a lot of hard work but it was worth it... we look fabulous.

 

Once we left it to dry for a while, we were able to try them on and boy oh boy did we look cute!

Awesome Assembly Art!

Lots of Learning

In Kowhai we have been very busy bee learners. We have settle  in to our reading and writing routines and are enjoying swimming. In math we have learnt a lot about time and are beginning to explore statistics. Our topic this term is water and fire safety.  We had a visit from life savers who taught us many great skills about water safety. We have our own T.V station Ruma Kowhai News. This is where we all get a chance to host the news station for morning news.

This is where you will find out what we have been learning throughout the term and can share it with others. It will be a space where I might put reminders and update you on events coming up. It is a great way for you to see how amazing the children in ruma kowhai are and celebrate their on going growth in the classroom and school environment.  I will also be giving the children a chance to publish their own blogs on here.
